Handy Tips Using Oatmeal

Sprinkle over the cheesy topping of cauliflower or macaroni before browning for a crisp nutty texture.

Use it to thicken soups, stews or mince.

Add medium, rough or pinhead oatmeal to brussels sprouts, cabbage or mixed vegetables just before serving and toss.

For an ideal home made facepack, blend one tablespoon of milk with enough oatmeal to make a paste. Dilute with a whole beaten egg or egg yolk. Apply to the face, avoiding the eyes and mouth, and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse off thoroughly with warm, then cold water.
