The Oatmeal of Alford

Cheese oatcakes

Ingredients

4 ozs. oatmeal.
4 ozs. vegetable oil.
2 tablespoons flour.
4 ozs. grated cheese.
Good pinch baking soda.
Pinch salt.

Method

Mix the oatmeal, flour and oil.
Add the cheese.
Make a stiff dough with hot water.
Roll out into rounds.
Cut into quarters and bake in a hot oven.
