Ingredients
4 ozs. plain flour.4 ozs. oatmeal.
2 ozs. sugar.
1 teaspoon cream of tartar.
½ teaspoon baking soda.
½ teaspoon cinnamon.
1 egg.
Pinch salt.
Milk.
Method
Mix dry ingredients.Make a well in the centre, add beaten egg and mix well.
Gradually stir in milk until mixture is the consistency of thick cream.
Place spoonfuls on a hot griddle or frying pan.
Cook until golden brown on one side then turn.
Serve hot with butter and jam.
