The Oatmeal of Alford

Ingredients

3ozs.pinhead or rough oatmeal.
¼ pint double cream.
¼ pint single or whipping cream.
1 tablespoon whisky or rum (optional).
6 ozs. raspberries.

Method

Whip cream, adding a little castor sugar if berries are sour.
Fold in oatmeal with whisky, then mix in fruit lightly.
Serve in individual glasses.
This dessert is best prepared shortly before it is eaten.
Serves 4.
