Ingredients
3 pints good stock.2 ozs. oatmeal.
1 lb curly kail.
salt and pepper.
Method
Bring the stock to the boil and allow to simmer while the kail is being prepared.Remove all coarse stems.
Wash leaves thoroughly and shred finely.
Drain and add to the liquid.
Simmer the brose for about half an hour or until the kail is tender.
Leave the pan uncovered so as to keep the colour of the kail.
Serve piping hot.
