The Oatmeal of Alford

Meat Loaf

Ingredients

1 lb. mince.
½ lb. bacon or sausage meat.
1 chopped onion.
4 ozs. medium or rough oatmeal.
1 beaten egg.
1 tablespoon Worcester sauce.
Salt and pepper.

Method

Mix all the ingredients together.
Shape into a rectangle 10" x 3" x 1½ " deep and wrap in lightly oiled foil, sealing the ends.
Bake for 1½ hours at 350F.
Serve hot with gravy or tomato sauce.
Alternatively serve cold, coated in oatmeal with a salad.
