The Oatmeal of Alford

Oatmeal Pudding

Ingredients

4 ozs. oatmeal.
1 small onion, finely chopped.
½ small tin chopped ham or luncheon meat.
Either 3 ozs. grated carrot or a small handful raisins.
1 oz. margarine.
Water.
Salt and pepper.

Method

Melt margarine and mix with other ingredients.
Add enough water to make a stiff paste.
Grease bowl, put mixture in and tie on greaseproof paper.
Steam for 40 minutes.
Can be served hot or cold, or fried.
Delicious served hot with cheese sauce.
Serves 4.
